`C1_C2_U03` trains you to hear future forms that sound conversational, regional, literary, or ironic. This is a register unit, not mechanical memorization of rare forms.

By the end of this unit you can

  • recognize `oi/ăi/o/om/oți/or + infinitive`
  • distinguish `voi face`, `o să fac`, `am să fac`, `oi face` by register
  • understand the nuance of `are să fie`, `om vedea`, `ce-o ieși`
  • rewrite marked speech into neutral Romanian
  • explain the social and stylistic effect of a form

Register map: form = speaker voice

At C1-C2, the goal is not just translation. You need to understand what voice the form creates: neutral, conversational, regional, literary, or ironic.

Grammar Hack

Production default

When in doubt, use `voi face` or `o să fac`. It is safer and more contemporary.

Marked recognition

`oi face`, `om vedea`, `ce-o ieși` are mostly useful for understanding speech, text, and stylization.

`are să fie`

Often sounds like spoken expectation or inevitability: `Are să fie greu.`

Do not flatten

`Om vedea` = `vom vedea`, but with a more living, relaxed, or fatalistic tone.

Ask not only `what does it mean?`, but `who speaks like this and why?`.
