I want to speak better, I can come tomorrow, I need to finish this today

`B1_U02` sharply expands usable speech. You can now say not only facts, but intention, possibility, necessity, and recommendation. `Conjunctiv prezent` shows up in real dialogue all the time.

By the end of this unit you can

  • understand simple recommendations and intentions in dialogue

Where the `Conjunctiv` lives immediately

This is not a rare literary form. It is one of the most frequent ways to say what you want, can, need, or recommend doing.

Grammar Hack

Learn the chunk, not the rule alone

The key is not isolated `să`, but the full high-frequency chunk: `vreau să`, `pot să`, `trebuie să`.

It is the language of intention

As soon as you want to talk about a goal or next step, the `Conjunctiv` becomes natural.

It is very frequent in real speech

People constantly say: `vreau să plec`, `pot să vin`, `trebuie să merg`.

It softens useful speech

It helps requests, advice, plans, and careful responses sound more natural.

Think of it as a bridge

The first verb opens your attitude to the action, and `să` carries you into the action itself.

Nice to Know
